Before I begin I will like to first start off by stating that this article is written strictly for those that are interested in living a more feminine lifestyle. I am in no way stating that every woman has to abide by this way of living. This is my personal opinion of what I believe it means to embrace femininity. If you don’t agree with every aspect of this article that is totally okay. Everyone is different and everyone has a different approach to life. At the end of the day, it’s solely your choice of how you choose to live. Now that I’ve gotten that out the way, lets jump right into it!
How can I begin living a more feminine lifestyle?
Femininity is not just wearing cute clothes and acting “girly” its a mindset. Its the act of accepting your role as a feminine woman and living in the moment. Here are a few key points on what I believe femininity is and how you can incorporate it into your lifestyle:
Accept your vulnerabilities and the fact that you are not superwoman
Trying to go at everything alone is not feminine and this type of mindset, in my opinion, operates on a masculine energy level. Do not be afraid to ask for help. This doesn’t mean you have to be the damsel in distress waiting for some prince to come to your aid. Just be more open and accepting to your own vulnerabilities. Express your concerns to friends, family, and/or your significant other and allow them to help you.
Make a commitment to take time for yourself daily
Self-care is essential to living a feminine lifestyle. Put time away to do some of the things that you love daily whether that is taking a long hot bathe, putting on make-up, or even watching your favorite TV show. Always set aside some time for yourself each day and do not sacrifice that “me time” for anyone. You can’t care for anyone until you care for yourself first. Neglecting to care for self can lead to stress and put you in a negative mindset which isn’t healthy for anyone. Committing to self-care is not something to feel guilty about. Your happiness is of the utmost importance.
Don’t be afraid to show your emotions.
In today’s society, there is so much pressure put on women that it is often frowned upon to show emotion. We are to be strong, tough, and resilient to everything life throws at us. There is nothing wrong with showing your emotions. Expressing your emotions when you are upset does not mean you are weak it is actually a sign of strength. Keeping your feelings bottled up inside is not healthy and can actually cause more stress. Crying releases stress and will make you feel better overall. So grab a box of tissues and/or a loved one’s shoulder and let it all out.
Life is short. Buy the lipstick.
Live in the moment
Allow yourself to take in the joys of today and be in the moment. Stop stressing about tomorrow and live your life day by day. Smile, laugh, twirl and embrace your femininity. Allow yourself to be carefree. Just like the above quote states, buy the lipstick, or the dress, or the shoes. Give it your all today and be in the moment. Take in your beautiful surroundings, the smells, the laughter of your loved ones. Start living and stop stressing!
To conclude I’d like to wish you the best as you begin your journey to transitioning into living a feminine lifestyle. Again this is solely my opinion of what femininity is and I’m supportive of you no matter what you decide. If you have any comments or questions please don’t hesitate to leave them below. ♥

September 2, 2018 at 2:25 pmI love this post because I love that you encourage us to be in touch with our emotions. It’s great to be vulnerable and honest because it also connects us. I think of women as great connectors, because we relate through emotion. So thanks for this post! Also, I love that first dress and your hair!
