Fall is in full swing with Halloween just around the corner. The trees are changing to gorgeous hues of orange, yellow and red as they prepare to shed their gorgeous leaves and sleep for the upcoming winter. Beautiful décor of orange and brown trims every household. All the while, I still maintain my favorite color choices and always decorate in non-traditional colors introducing gorgeous creams and muted pinks into my fall palette. Today I will share with you this years pretty pink and white fall tablescape which surprisingly, was very inexpensive. You’ll be shocked how budget friendly this gorgeous table setting is.
The centerpiece
I started off with making my own pink table runner from left over fabric that I used to create my own dining room chair covers. I then added some pink candles that were on clearance at Bath & Body Works. The candles were only $1.50 each! I put them in pretty gold candle holders from Michaels. I also added a pretty vase filled with fall flowers in shades of cream, white, and pink. Everything for this floral arrangement was purchased from Hobby Lobby. Next, I added my own handmade white velvet pumpkins and stuffed faux flowers in between the pumpkins to give the look of flowers growing in between them.
The table setting
I started by placing these gorgeous gold chargers I got from the Dollar Tree at every place setting. I then placed a white plate with gold trim on each charger plate. The plates I used were also purchased from the Dollar Tree a few years ago. If you can’t find the ones with the gold trim, just go for the plain white ones. I then topped each plate with my pink bowls that I purchased from Walmart to add a pop of color. Finally I added these glass tumblers I purchased from Big Lots, and gold flatware(also from Walmart) to bring out the gold in the centerpiece.
A few tips to save money
Use coupons! I used the 40% off coupon that Hobby Lobby always has listed on their website towards my purchase. I also used coupons with Michaels to save money. In addition to using coupons most of the items I purchased were on sale. Either 30-40% off so that really helped me save money, especially during these uncertain times. Another tip is to use items you already have. A lot of these items such as the dishes and flatware I already owned. Lastly, don’t be afraid to shop at discount stores such as the Dollar Tree or Big Lots. Both of these stores always have really good quality dishes at discounted prices. You can buy these same gold chargers online for 4x as much as Dollar Tree for example and it’s the exact same item. Same goes for the ceramic plates.
I hope that this post inspires you to create your own beautiful pink and white or cream tablescape. You can even switch out the pink for cream, soft brown or even mint green. The options are endless. Although orange and brown are very pretty colors their not the only colors you have to use when decorating for the fall season. Happy decorating!
