Vegan Easter Eggs for Dyeing

Vegan Easter Eggs Dyeing

Although we are a vegan family, I still wanted my children to be able to enjoy the festivities of Easter. We traditionally dye Easter eggs the evening before Easter, but now that we are a vegan family how can we uphold that tradition? I went online to find some ideas and found out that Walmart actually carried vegan Easter eggs for dyeing! They were super inexpensive too ($1.99). You really can’t beat that price! If you have a Walmart near you, you can find this kit in the Easter section of the store. If not you can purchase a similar kit from Amazon.

The kit was pretty straightforward and had everything needed to dye the eggs. No additional items needed! I grabbed a pair of gloves to keep my fingers from getting stained while I helped my little ones create their masterpieces. Word of advice: I suggest that you cover your table with newspaper or a disposable tablecloth to protect your precious tablecloth from getting ruined. My son actually splattered egg dye on my curtains. I am happy to say that I was able to wash the dye out easily. Just rinse in cool water and laundry immediately.

Halfway through dyeing the eggs, my little ones wanted to mix the dye to make new colors. We were able to make purple, turquoise, and orange! The eggs turned out to be very vibrant and dried rather quickly. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised at how well this kit dyed the eggs. A real winner in my book!
